FISH! has been granted RIBO
accreditation
in the Personal Skills category for 2.5
hours.
What is RIBO?
The Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO)
is the self-regulatory body for insurance
brokers in Ontario. Established in October 1981,
RIBO regulates the licensing, professional
competence, ethical conduct, and insurance
related financial obligations of all independent
general insurance brokers in the province.
What does a RIBO accreditation mean?
All licensed insurance individuals in Ontario
must participate in a certain number of training
hours each year. Only courses/programs that are
RIBO accredited can be used towards these
required training hours.
Now that FISH! has been granted RIBO
accreditation, any licensed individual in the
insurance industry will be granted 2.5 hrs in
the “Personal Skills” category. The Personal
Skills category is subjects related to skills
required to function efficiently in an insurance
brokerage office as a customer service
representative or as a producer. Subjects would
include, but not limited to, sales and marketing
skills, and communication and writing skills.
Completion Certificate
Upon completion of the FISH! Philosophy™
workshop, qualified attendees will receive a
Certificate of Attendance vertifying that they
have completed a minimum of 2.5 hours of
training in the "Personal Skills" category,
which they can then apply towards their required
annual training hours.
